PORT HUNTER ZONE CHAMPIONSHIPS

Will be held at Fearnley Dawes Athletics Centre, 120 Smith Street, Newcastle West on Saturday 25 & Sunday 26 November hosted by Port Hunter Zone Committee

This is the first of two qualifying Championships for athletes to be eligible to compete at the State Championships. U/7 age groups compete no further than the Zone Championships and U/8 athletes compete no further than Region. Entry fee is incorporated into your athlete registration fees.

The first three finalists in each event at Zone Championships compete at the Regional Championships to be held on Friday 2 to Sunday 4 February 2024 at the Hunter Sports Centre in Glendale.

U/7 – U/12 can only compete in 4 events and they need to nominate the 4 events in which they wish to compete U/13 - U/17 may compete in 6 events and they need to nominate up to 6 events in which they wish to compete.

PARENTS ARE REMINDED THAT IF THEIR CHILD IS COMPETING AT ZONE, THEY WILL BE REQUIRED TO DO AT LEAST ONE DUTY AS A HELPER AT SOME TIME OVER THE WEEKEND EITHER ON THE FIELD, IN THE COMPUTER ROOM OR IN THE CANTEEN. THIS IS A REQUIREMENT OF THE PORT HUNTER ZONE COMMITTEE.
